Dhofar Gears Up for Khareef 2025 Season: 7,300 Rooms Across 100 Licensed Tourism Facilities Now Operational

Muscat – 8 June 2025, As the Khareef 2025 season approaches, tourism authorities in Oman have announced that Dhofar Governorate is fully prepared to welcome visitors. This year, a total of 100 licensed tourism establishments are operational across the governorate, offering a combined capacity of 7,300 guest rooms.

The facilities include hotels, furnished apartments, guesthouses, and tourism lodges, with several new properties opening in Taqah, Mirbat, and Salalah.

The Khareef season, typically spanning from late June to early September, is known for its cool weather, monsoon rains, and lush green landscapes, making Dhofar one of Oman’s most popular summer destinations.

Authorities have advised tourists to book early due to high demand and to plan their visits in advance to make the most of the season’s unique natural appeal.
