Diplomatic Talks Between Oman and the U.S.: Emphasis on Regional Stability and Peace

The Foreign Ministers of Oman and the United States held a phone conversation on Friday, focusing on pressing regional developments, including the situations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Yemen. The discussions aimed at exploring peaceful resolutions to ongoing crises.

Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, and Antony Blinken, U.S. Secretary of State, reaffirmed their support for a two-state solution as the optimal pathway to security and stability in the region.

Al-Busaidi stressed the importance of ongoing political efforts to achieve a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and alleviate the suffering of civilians.

Both sides reviewed the status of Muscat-Washington ties, discussing ways to enhance strategic collaboration while addressing challenges to maintain regional stability.

Amid growing international concerns over Gaza’s situation and heightened tensions in Lebanon and Yemen, Oman continues to play its pivotal role as a key mediator in the region.
