His Majesty Sultan Haitham to Embark on Official State Visit to Spain from May 20 to 22, 2025

Muscat – 19 May 2025, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will depart on Tuesday, 20 May 2025, for an official state visit to the Kingdom of Spain, responding to a kind invitation from King Felipe VI.

According to an official statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court, the visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations, enhance cooperation across various sectors, and discuss key regional and international developments.

The Sultan will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including senior ministers and officials in defense, foreign affairs, economy, energy, and investment.

This marks His Majesty’s first official visit to Spain, and is expected to pave the way for broader strategic ties between the two countries in trade, energy, diplomacy, and joint investments. The visit also reflects Oman’s commitment to diversifying its global partnerships in line with Oman Vision 2040.
