HM The Sultan Congratulates Germany’s New Chancellor

Muscat, 6 May 2025 – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a formal congratulatory message to Friedrich Merz, on the occasion of his election as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In his message, His Majesty expressed his best wishes for the Chancellor’s success in leading the German people toward further progress and prosperity. The Sultan also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Germany across various fields.
