Mawaleh Central Market to continue serving individual retail customers: Muscat Municipality

Muscat Municipality has assured customers that Mawaleh Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables. will continue to provide its services without interruption.

In a statement issued, the Municipality said, “Continuing the cooperation between Muscat Municipality and Fruits and Vegetables Central Market (Silal), and in light of the ongoing preparations for the transfer of central storage and wholesale activities to the new market in Khazaen Economic City, the Municipality announced its intent to continue operations at Mawaleh Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables.”

On June 29, the wholesale trading activities will commence at SILAL Market in Khazaen Economic City. Consequently, all wholesale markets and the main shed Mawaleh Central Market for Fruits and Vegetables will be permanently closed.

“The Central Fruits and Vegetables Market in Al Mawaleh will continue to serve individual retail customers (Retail Markets). Light vehicles can enter the market through Gate No. 2 from Saturday to Thursday, between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM,” it stated
