The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion in Oman has announced that businesses which have ceased operations or failed to renew their commercial records will be delisted from the commercial register.
This decision aims to regulate the market and ensure that only active commercial records represent businesses that are genuinely operating.
Companies wishing to contest their delisting are required to submit an objection form within 30 days from the date of this announcement.
The official announcement (8/2024) states:
“Based on Commercial Register Law No. 3/74, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion announces the delisting of expired commercial registers (companies) due to the failure of their owners to renew them and the cessation of their commercial activities. This action is part of an effort to organize registered data and information and to identify active registers that comply with the issued laws and regulations.
“Any party wishing to object to this delisting is hereby required to complete the objection form by scanning the QR code provided and submitting their objection within thirty (30) days from the date of this announcement via email at [email protected].”
