The Muscat Stock Exchange delivered a standout performance in 2025, ranking at the top of Gulf stock market indices. Recording growth of more than 28%, the exchange achieved one of the strongest returns not only in the region but also among major global markets.

Based on a comparison of Gulf stock market performances in 2025, returns were as follows:

• Oman: +28%
• Kuwait: +21%
• United Arab Emirates (Dubai): +17%
• Bahrain: +4%
• Qatar: +1%
• Saudi Arabia: −12%

The rise of the Muscat Stock Exchange index comes at a time when many regional and global markets have been facing volatility and economic pressures.
