Oman Airports Reports Strong Growth: Passenger Numbers Surge by 9% in April 2025

Muscat – 15 May 2025, Oman Airports announced that passenger traffic across the Sultanate’s airports reached 1,163,163 in April 2025, representing a 9% increase compared to April 2024. Aircraft movements also rose by 6% over the same period.
According to official data, Muscat International Airport recorded the highest share of growth, handling 1,039,208 passengers, compared to 947,449 in April last year — a rise of 9.7%.
Salalah Airport also posted positive growth, with 118,390 passengers in April 2025, up 7.8% year-on-year. Authorities expect this upward trend to continue, especially with the approaching Khareef season in Dhofar.
Oman Airports stated that it has launched initiatives to enhance passenger experience, attract new international airlines, expand commercial performance, and improve operational efficiency at Muscat and Salalah airports.
