According to Royal Decree No. 88/2022, the official holidays for government and private sector entities in the current year have been announced. Based on this decree, the first day of Muharram al-Haram will be an official holiday in observance of the Hijri New Year.
The decree also stipulates that if official holidays coincide with weekend holidays, an additional day will be considered a holiday. It is worth noting that the exact timing of the holidays may be subject to change due to public interest.
The Hijri New Year holidays are expected to fall on Monday, July 8, 2024.
