Muscat– May 22, 2025, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that the fifth round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, in Rome, the capital of Italy.
According to Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, the talks will take place in a non-direct format with Oman’s mediation, continuing the Sultanate’s diplomatic efforts to ease regional tensions and revive dialogue between Tehran and Washington.
Possible Venue: Omani Embassy in Rome
Given that the second round of talks on April 19, 2025, was held at the Omani Embassy in Rome, analysts suggest that the upcoming session might also take place at the same location. However, official confirmation of the venue has not yet been released.
