7% Growth in International Tourism to Oman

Statistics from the international company ForwardKeys show that international tourist arrivals to Oman increased by approximately 7% between September 2024 and August 2025.

In the first half of 2025, the markets of Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands recorded growth of more than 44%, while Switzerland saw a 35% increase. The Gulf markets accounted for 40% of total inbound tourists, with a 30% increase from Bahrain and 8% from Qatar. The Singapore market also recorded growth of over 34%.

Global searches for travel to Oman have increased by 43%, and inbound flight capacity is expected to rise significantly by February 2026 from markets such as Russia (253%), Switzerland (83%), Malaysia (56%), and the United Kingdom (24%).

This trend reflects Oman’s successful strategy in attracting cultural and luxury tourism from Europe and Asia.
