In light of the warnings from the National Emergency Management Center of Oman regarding the expected heavy rainfall, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, has been declared a holiday in the provinces of Muscat, South Sharqiyah, and North Sharqiyah.
This decision has been made to ensure the safety of citizens and to minimize the risks associated with heavy rainfall, which is estimated to be between 40 and 90 millimeters. Additionally, educational activities in the provinces of North Batinah, South Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Dhofar, and Al Dakhiliyah will also be shifted to remote learning.
Authorities have urged residents to follow weather warnings and refrain from unnecessary travel.
