Dhofar University Ranked Among Top 1000 Universities Globally for the First Time

Achieves QS World Ranking 2026 (851–900); a milestone in Oman’s higher education journey

June 21, 2025, Dhofar University has achieved a historic milestone by being ranked for the first time among the top 1000 universities worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2026, securing a position in the 851–900 band.

This recognition marks a turning point in the university’s academic and institutional development. Out of over 8,400 educational institutions that applied, only 1,501 universities were selected based on rigorous criteria measuring academic performance, research output, and institutional impact—underscoring the quality of Dhofar University’s programs and its growing educational and research infrastructure.

The achievement reflects the university’s continuous institutional efforts across academic and administrative spheres, aligned with a strategic vision rooted in quality, innovation, and global presence.
