Muscat – June 12, “Oman Balloons” has announced that its first desert hot air balloon rides will launch in October from the Star Gate Camp in the Wasit area of Bidiyah, located in the North Sharqiyah Governorate.
These flights are set to offer panoramic views of Oman’s golden dunes and breathtaking natural desert landscapes, providing tourists with a unique sunrise experience that blends serenity with natural beauty from above.
The initiative aims to promote experiential tourism and provide innovative recreational options for both local and international travelers.
The first balloon was successfully tested earlier this year in Cappadocia, Turkey, as part of a promotional and technical preparation phase. The project is supported by Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and is fully licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority.
This step marks a significant move toward adventure and sustainable tourism development in Oman’s desert regions.
