Oman has strongly condemned the deliberate vehicle attack targeting protesters in central Munich on Thursday, February 13. The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement expressing solidarity with the German government and the victims’ families while reaffirming its firm stance against terrorism and violence.

Details of the Munich Incident

  • On the morning of February 13, a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker drove his vehicle into a group of protesters organized by one of Germany’s largest labor unions, injuring at least 28 people.
  • German authorities confirmed that the suspect was arrested immediately at the scene and that there is no further threat to public safety.
  • Markus Söder, Prime Minister of Bavaria, described the attack as intentional and possibly a targeted act of terrorism.
