Sunday, January 12: Public Holiday Marking the Anniversary of Sultan Haitham’s Ascension to the Throne

By the Royal Decree of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, and on the occasion of the anniversary of his ascension to the throne, Sunday, January 12 has been declared a public holiday across the country.

This holiday applies to:

• Employees of government administrative units
• Other legal entities
• Workers in the private sector

Ministry of Labor Announcement

The Ministry of Labor stated that:

• Employees required to work on this day will be entitled to full legal benefits and compensation as per regulations.
• In cases of operational necessity, employees may work on this day in compliance with existing labor laws.
