His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued four Royal Decrees on March 3, 2025. These decrees ratify international cooperation agreements between the Sultanate of Oman and Morocco, Cyprus, Tanzania, and Djibouti.

The agreements focus on maritime transport, avoidance of double taxation, prevention of tax evasion, and air transport.

Details of the Royal Decrees:

  • Royal Decree No. (23/2025): This decree ratifies the Cooperation Agreement in Maritime Transport and Ports between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco. It was signed in Rabat on July 4, 2023.
  • Royal Decree No. (24/2025): This decree confirms the Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Tax Evasion on Income Taxes between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus. The agreement was signed in Muscat on December 8, 2024.
  • Royal Decree No. (25/2025): This decree approves the Agreement on the Elimination of Double Taxation and Prevention of Tax Evasion between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. It was signed in Muscat on December 15, 2024.
  • Royal Decree No. (26/2025): This decree endorses the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Djibouti. It was signed in Muscat on January 6, 2025.

These agreements clearly reflect Oman’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation. Furthermore, they help foster economic and trade relations with friendly and neighboring countries. In line with this effort, Oman continues to pursue partnerships that align with Oman Vision 2040. This strategy aims to diversify the economy and attract international investments.
