Royal Cavalry of Oman Shines at Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025

Windsor – 18 May 2025, The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Royal Cavalry under the Royal Court Affairs, has made a distinguished appearance at the prestigious Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025, held in the private grounds of Windsor Castle, United Kingdom, from May 15 to 18.

Oman’s participation began with a powerful visual presentation titled “Oman: Jewel of Arabia”, showcasing the country’s rich cultural identity, landscapes, and equestrian heritage. The video captivated audiences and set the tone for an inspiring series of live performances.

The Royal Cavalry presented traditional Omani equestrian arts, including Ardah riding, horse sitting, and whispering, performed with high levels of harmony and skill. Accompanied by the Royal Cavalry Band, the performances blended Omani, Arabic, and international music, leaving a strong impression on international guests.

Colonel Toby Browne, Commander of the British Royal Cavalry and Director of the event, praised Oman’s continued participation, calling it “a graceful and unique presence that reflects centuries of shared friendship between Oman and the United Kingdom.”

This marks the fifth participation of Oman’s Royal Cavalry at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Engineer Hilal bin Mohammed al Waeli, Head of Horses, Camels, Farms, and Royal Gardens Affairs, said: “Oman’s presence at such global events strengthens the country’s cultural diplomacy and introduces our rich equestrian traditions to new audiences.”

Dr. Sarhan bin Salem al Zeedi, Director General of the Royal Cavalry, added: “These performances reflect the excellence and deep bond between our riders and their horses, admired by spectators from around the world.”
